Raymond Brazil
Raymond Brazil, MA (Philosophy), LLB (Hons I), MDR, AssociateRaymond Brazil has 12 years’ experience in mediation and other forms of dispute resolution. Raymond has acted as a mediator, conciliator, conference facilitator and arbitrator, to resolve workplace, family, community, workers compensation, medical, health care, housing and victim/offender disputes.
In such capacities, he has been employed by a range of tribunals, government agencies and community organisations, including the Workers Compensation Commission, the Housing Appeals Committee, the Health Care Complaints Commission, the Child Support Agency, the Department of Juvenile Justice and Centacare.
Raymond Brazil is an accredited mediator, Raymond has completed the Master of Dispute Resolution programme at the Centre for Dispute Resolution, University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). As a trainer, he has presented training courses and workshops in mediation to community agencies and legal practitioners in Sydney, Canberra, regional centres across NSW and in Queensland and Tasmania.
In a law reform and research capacity, Raymond Brazil has been employed by the Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT). Raymond Brazil has also lectured in Human Rights Law at UTS and the University of Wollongong.
